Distractions

No matter what you're working to accomplish, you will not get there in a straight line. You'll repeatedly get knocked off course.

Don't despair. It happens to everyone, all the time.

The key to successful achievement is to get quickly back on track. The faster your recovery time, the more progress you'll make.

Accept the fact that you'll get knocked off course on a regular basis. Accept it, and don't waste time or energy complaining about it or feeling sorry for yourself. That just compounds the problem.

Instead, move on past the distraction and re-focus your efforts on your original goal. It is often impossible to prevent distractions, yet you can always prevent them from lingering too long.

Move past them as soon as you can, forget about them and get yourself back on course.
